Massive Purity

This is a series of 10 art­works: Hand­ma­de vases exclu­si­ve­ly pro­du­ced for Onelia from the Mas­ter of Glass Arts Fabia­no Ama­di in Mura­no in Ita­ly. Ter­ri­fic in its size and mas­si­ve are reflec­ting, they reflec­ting the incre­di­ble fresh­ness of the sea water. Each vase is a pro­duct of hig­hest exclu­si­vi­ty. An out­stan­ding and uni­que luxu­ry product.

Production process

Pre­pa­ring the colour

The glass is com­po­sed of pure sili­ca sand which takes on the spe­ci­fic colour with the addi­ti­on of com­mon metal oxi­des. This com­pound has been mel­ted at very high tem­pe­ra­tures, tur­ning into the colou­red glass used that repli­ca­tes the cris­tal clear sea colours. A uni­que and non repeata­ble colour.

Working the glass

The artis­tic glass, both mouth-blown and hand-craf­ted, requi­red a dedi­ca­ted work group com­po­sed of the renow­ned Mas­ter of Glass Arts Fabia­no Ama­di plus four other peo­p­le spe­cia­li­zed experts in the various stages of the processing.
Fabia­no Ama­di, cor­ner­stone of the group and known for able to crea­te some of the lar­gest blown and hand­ma­de sin­gle glass vases, with his sen­si­ti­vi­ty and artis­tic abili­ty shaped the huge pie­ces, rea­ching the desi­red pure shape and maxi­mum size.

Coo­ling in the „Tem­pe­ra“ and finishing

The vase made by the Mas­ter of Glass Arts, still very hot, has been intro­du­ced into the “tem­pe­ra” (long belt coo­ling oven).
Here the pie­ce flowed and coo­led slow­ly over many hours of per­ma­nence befo­re coming out rea­dy for the finis­hing. The object, blown in the fur­nace and coo­led in the “tem­pe­ra”, has then been cold finis­hed by the team of experts who pro­cee­ded with the poli­shing and dia­mond wheel finishing.

Cer­ti­fy­ing exclusivity

The „Onelia Glass“ logo cer­ti­fies the high qua­li­ty and uni­que­ness of the finis­hed vase and has been sand­blas­ted on the vase. The ori­gi­nal signa­tu­re of the Mas­ter of Glass Fabia­no Ama­di and the uni­que seri­al num­ber were engra­ved on the bot­tom of the vase ensu­ring the ori­gi­na­li­ty of the vase.
